Language, units and item structure in the BOQ
A workflow guide for preparing and reviewing a BOQ. It describes professional checks and does not promise automatic recognition, compatibility or a connection that has not been verified for the project.

Check the source
Choosing a language does not choose a measurement method. Define chapter structure, item descriptions, units and the governing contract documents. Translating a heading does not establish compliance with another standard or price book.
Incorporate the data
When transferring data between workbooks, check codes, decimal separators and currency. Keep quantity and rate as separate fields, and establish whether the contractual rate includes VAT or displays it separately.
Review before issue
Before delivery, validate a complete sample item in the recipient’s expected structure. This guide does not certify AiN compliance with an Israeli or foreign standard; assess the output against the project’s specific requirements.
Review checklist
- Identify the source file and revision.
- Record the unit and measurement rule, and check scope boundaries.
- Distinguish model data, manual completion and AI suggestions.
- Record missing data or exceptions before using a quantity for pricing.
